The Colorado vNet Distributed Digital Audio System delivers music throughout your home. Going beyond simple room audio, the system is composed of five basic components: a Consumer Electronics (CE) device, an audio encoder (AE1-1), an Ethernet switch, a touchscreen amplifier (TA1-70), and a set of speakers. Music where you want it, the way you want it...One encoder per source and one touchscreen amplifier per zone make the Colorado vNet system very scalable, eliminating the “step-up” cost that occurs when the capacity of a distribution box is exceeded. This scalability also allows you to adapt to last minute changes quickly and easily. The Colorado vNet system allows the user to control the CE Device via screen presses or IR codes received at the Touchscreen Amplifier. Any Touchscreen Amplifier that is tuned into the CE device can control the CE Device.
Audio EncoderThe Audio Encoder solves two problems analog systems
have long suffered with. By digitizing the audio signal it eliminates the
interference and sound-quality roll-off inherent in sending analog signals
over long wires. Doing that individually for each source eliminates the
“4x6” configuration of analog systems, allowing individual sources (and
zones) to be added with complete freedom.
Power CouplerYou don’t always have control over how the home is pre-wired. The Power Coupler allows you to deliver power to the Touchscreen Amplifier over Ethernet – isn’t that easier than pulling new power wires through existing walls? The Power Coupler is an elegant solution when pre-wire constraints don't allow a direct power connection to the Touchscreen Amplifier. Two RJ-45 connections and a Power connection are all that is required.
