Designing a home is an art as well as a technological effort. Only you can decide just how YOU will live in the space we design and how it will be utilized. Planning for future changes and usage is also a critical factor. Planning for wider doorway openings in the case wheelchair access is needed by a guest or family member.

Selecting features that will be amenable to change and revision over time (wall coverings, window treatments, color, etc.) is important as you wear the home over time. Investing in the basics will provide for a positive return on your investment. Select the best structural materials and features available so they will last a lifetime (and longer).

Energy efficiency and environmental compatibility is a key design concept we support at IQ-Home. We work with manufacturers and product designers to feature only the best and most cost effective 'green building' components available.

It is the client who always makes the final decision. We will make suggestions (oftentimes very strong ones), but ultimately we work for you and will accede to your design wishes; unless it violates some basic building or safety requirements.

All custom design work will be on a time and materials basis. An initial estimate of the costs will be provided upon receipt of a completed Plan Selection and Feature form. The costs will vary directly with the complexity of the design request, materials selected and the detail level of features requested.
