Custom Plans

Due to many requests for hard copy prints of the plans we feature on our web site, we have decided to make these available. Due to the costs of production and preparation, these plans will be offered on a competitive cost basis.

IQ-Home has full print capabilities featuring a full color Hewlett Packard 42 inch plotter. We can produce drawings up to 42 inches in width and almost unlimited length. Typically, home plans are drawn on 'D' sized paper (24 inches wide and 36 inches long) or 'E' sized paper (36 inches wide and 48 inches long). The printouts will be shipped in a re-enforced 'tube' of suitable length to store the documents safely.

For a sample of the plans we can produce see the sample layout PDF file for the Gabriel III.

In additional to these hard copy printouts, we can supply full Computer Aided Design (CAD) files in a variety of formats. These can files can be used in such programs as AutoCAD or other CAD systems using the 'DXF' or 'DWG' formats.

Since we use Chief Architect for our CAD and display work, we can also supply the source files in this native format or 'PLAN' files.

Further to aid in your understanding of the home plans we provide, we can provide a fully functional Chief Architect program to view your home plans purchased and designed by IQ-Home. This software is included with the purchase of any custom designed set of home plans. This software is sent out on a standard CD ROM or DVD disk complete with the PLAN file we design and customize for you.

Viewing this plan file in the comfort of your own home; on your own computer, allows the leisurely viewing of your home plan and a full analysis of any additions, changes, modifications, or corrections you would like to see. We make any requested changes and provide you with a revised PLAN file for your viewing pleasure.

This program allows you to view the floor plans, see 3D renderings of interior and exterior details and do a 'walk through' your new home before you even break ground!
