Colorado vNet has simplified lighting and control to an extent previously inconceivable by any but the most optimistic futurists. The heart of the system is a star pattern hub that connects to each of input and output devices via standard CAT5e home-run wiring. The wiring terminates in RJ-45 connectors at both ends.

Our practice of significantly reducing the number of system modules necessary to build a whole-home solution is much in evidence here. The two input modules are either a 5-button or 8-button keypad that controls the scene, or a touchpad which fits within a standard Decora plate.

As for output, we feature a dimming module carrying up to 8 loads totaling 1920w, a dimming ballast module for fluorescent lighting, and an output module designed to manage very heavy loads.

Finally, we can connect a bridge to the entire system that controls timed events, and that connects directly to the Colorado vNet hosted server in order to provide integrator system information and to remotely control and alter house settings. It also serves as a diagnostic tool.
